My Plein Air Artist Studio is located in the western North Carolina mountains set in the beauty of untamed nature. I am a dedicated plein air painter working on location in the beautiful country of the highlands and the lowlands of the Southeast. My paintings are an attempt to balance the shape and patterns I see with the elegant color and light I observe in my everyday life. Each painting presents its own challenges and triumphs. As with all my work, design is the over arching principle. Painting on location, concentrating on the range of light, color, and compostion, is unique in that it has an intimacy all of its own; full of vigor, nature, fresh, original and warm, inspired by the observation of nature, hasty, unpolished and untouched afterwards.For more information visit my blog www.lindacheekstudio.blogspot.com
