A Culture Shock, designed and co-created the concept! It started out as a concept to create a Caribbean franchise that would utilize the model of a Hard Rock Café concept; building a chain from a single store. Our initial role including, defining the concept, logo design, the welmudasik brand, the cartoon characters, menus, drink names, marketing & branding and website development.
A Culture Shock was the project manager for the development of this new boutique resort that features 30 island inspired rooms, 2 swimming pools, a tennis court, private beach and a unique styled restaurant and grille (Utopia the Grille). A Culture Shock developed all branding, logos, menus, brochures and online services.
Originally referred to as the “cnn.com” of the Bahamas. This was a concept A Culture Shock created after our research and development team saw a void for news being transmitted around the world about the Bahamas. This project was approved by the Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas. During testing we had published a beta site that streamed live traffic throughout Nassau during 5 o’clock rush hour and began streaming over 100 hours of ZNS original programming.
MGD’s Craft Artist Series added some Caribbean heat to a chilly night in Chicago. Over 2,000 fans gathered at the historic Metro to experience The Craft’s first celebration of genuine reggae artistry. Reggae enthusiasts flocked to the venue to see Buju Banton, Wayne Wonder and Collie Buddz. Each with their own flavor, the three performed their hits and classics with energy and enthusiasm while the crowd sipped on the cold-filtered MGD. Walshy Fire (black chiney) and Chicago’s own Leon Rogers led an open roundtable discussion with the artists about their inspiration, commitment and process of creating great music.
Our Role
A Culture Shock was retained after a success 6 show to be the talent buyer & marketing agency of the Crafts final show. Not only was it the biggest event for a 6 month promotion that the MGD had, but it was based on the Caribbean. We were responsible for everything including the marketing of the event to the booking of the artist performing. The success of this promotion resulted in sales growth of 7% for MGD.
