HOUSE OF PRAYER is an established multinational charismatic church. We are members of Churches Together in our local area of Wellington, Hadley and Leegomery and work together with other churches in Telford and Shropshire. We are also affiliated to The Evangelical Alliance.
One of our main functions in the church is prayer. We have a lively and well attended Prayer & Praise every week and Prayer in the Square once a month. From both of these events we see wonderful outcomes of healing, reconciliation and salvation.
There is a team of committed, responsible people who endeavour to share the love of God in word and action in the local community and seek to fulfil Jesus command to make disciples.
We run a Drop in that opens three days a week to serve the local community.
Senior Leaders - Tony & Mary Herber-Davies have been members of the House of Prayer since its beginning in 1993, when a small group of Christians began meeting together to worship & study the bible originally in Shawbirch Community Centre. The church then moved to Market Street, Wellington and in 2006 renovated its present premises at The Life Centre in Market Approach, Wellington on the 1st floor above the Post Office.
