Since 2008, Liberated Muse Productions has produced events promoting quality artists and community venues. The festival is intended to support emerging artists in the Washington DC metro area. The Capital Hip Hop Soul Fest is produced by Liberated Muse Productions. The event takes place in Marvin Gaye Park located in the Deanwood community in Washington, DC. The festival is annual event that began in 2008. Artists selected to perform hail from the Nation's Capital and surrounding areas. Our goal is to link the artists with an audience that appreciates hip-hop and soul music. Small businesses and nonprofits contribute to the event by providing a festive assortment of services and products.
The Marvin Gaye Park where the festival is held is in the Deanwood community in Washington DC where Marvin Gaye grew up. The history of the area allows us to connect the old and new and speak to the rich legacy of one of DC's oldest communities. The park offers a green space that families and couples can enjoy together.
