Grace Baptist is a church centered on the Bible. We believe the Scriptures to be the inspired, infallible Word of God, and the authority for everything we do as a church.
Our Bible Study on Sunday mornings begins at 9:45, and is the primary tool we use as we seek to apply God's Word to our everyday lives. There are Bible study classes designed for every age group with your choice of a couples' class, or individual men's and women's classes.
For youth (6th grade & up) we have an active youth ministry including many activities designed to build unity and love for God and others. Our Bible Study program has been designed around the tasks of teaching the Bible, reaching people for Christ, and ministering to those in need.

Mike Pelham was born in Tidewater Va. His father was a career military man. In addition to serving as Pastor at Grace, he is a full-time hospice chaplain with Amedisys of Kingsport
Dear Friend,
In John chapter 4, Jesus told the woman at the well that her relationship with God could be like a spring of water inside of her welling up into eternal life. Our desire at Grace Baptist Church is to help each believer grow in his or her walk with God so that His presence becomes relevant and practical in our daily lives, so that those around us may be refreshed -- like taking a drink from a rushing, cool mountain spring. Martha Jones is a native of Johnson City and started as worship leader at Grace Baptist in May, 2006. She works for Johnson City Internal Medicine.
Lewy Cornett was born in North Carolina and started as the Youth Pastor in May,2009. He also works for the Johnson City Power Board
OUR location
Grace Baptist Church is located in Johnson City on West Market Street toward Jonesborough behind Williams Electric Company - about 1/4 mile past the medical center and across the street from the new Wal-Mart.
