About About
I am a Stage Manager and Light Designer currently pursuing degrees in Theatre Production/Design and Cultural Anthropology at The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). I have worn many hats in the theatre world, ranging from board operator, set constructor, box office assistant, to designer and stage manager. I love what theatre has allowed me to experience, and the skills it has given me.
My sophomore year I started down the road of becoming a stage manager at UMBC, by being the Assistant Stage Manager for Kiss Kiss: A Night of Magical Realism (2009), and The Cripple of Inishmaan (2010). I decided to try my hand at light design, and became the Assistant Light Designer on Las Meninas (2010), a production that was a finalist in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. I went onto become an Intern at the Everyman Theatre in Baltimore Maryland, where I worked with professionals as an assistant stage manager on the production of Shooting Star.
In the spring of 2011 I traveled to New Zealand where I got opportunities light designing and being a light board op on Aftershocks (2011) performed by “Carving In Ice Theatre Company”, a show that benefitted the victims of the earthquake in Christchurch, NZ; as well as Full.Stop.Theatre’s Auckland Fringe Festival production of Tea for Toot (2011); and University of Waikato’s Department of Theatre Production of The Last Days of Don Juan (2011). While I was in New Zealand I focused my studies on Maori Performance Art, and got the chance to perform Maori dance alongside indigenous students (perhaps the last time I will be seen onstage).
After such a great experience I came back to UMBC in the fall of 2011, where I Stage Managed OTMA (2011) working with Director Eve Muson. I am also a student leader at UMBC, being the former President of the Jewish Student Union, as well as the current President of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi Sorority, Inc.
