Professional Web Design by a budding freelance web designer, based out of central Minnesota. My name is LeAnn Jeffcoat and I am a nationally certified Site Designer. The websites I design are simple, yet visually pleasing and easy to use. Why do I need a website?The only reason a website should exist is to solve a visitor/customer's problem. Most people visit a site to solve one of these four common problems: * They want/need information. * They want/need to make a purchase or donation. * They want/need to be entertained. * They want/need to be part of a community.If your website can accomplish one of these things it will be successful. Keep in mind which one of these suits your purposes best when you contact me.What are your qualifications?In 2008 I completed my training as a Certified Internet Web Professional. I have three nationally recognized CIW Certificates. You can be certain all the sites I design comply with all of today's web standards and I do not use outdated technology. The sites I build can be viewed in all major web browsers without any problems. I validate everything to be up to the latest XHTML and CSS standards. In English, that means that you can be sure your site will work on a variety of different computers (Windows/Mac), screen sizes and so on. I have a background in art and Interior Design so there is no limit to my creative abilities. I am constantly learning new things daily I enjoy the challenge and variety that this career offers.How does the process of making a new site work?Just send me an email or call me and we can talk about what you have in mind. If you have an existing business most likely you will want to use your existing marketing materials and logo. I will need you to provide me with a general idea of how many pages you'd like and what will be on each page. I can help with the colors and layout of course. If you have any photos or information at all that would be most helpful.Most businesses will have a 'Home' page where there is a brief description of who you are and what you do. Many sites also have an 'About Me' page where you go into more detail about the history of the company. The third page most sites have in common is a 'Contact' page with an address and a map or directions. I can link a google map right into the site. You'll also want to list phone numbers and email addresses of all the key contacts in your business.Depending on what your business is you may have many pages filled with tips and articles and items for sale. So what I need from you is photos and content and the general purpose you want your website to accomplish. Leave the rest to me.How does the process of updating an old site work?The process is much the same way as creating a new site. Simply let me know what you like and don't like. Knowing what your goals are combined with my expertise we will come up with a winning design that your customers will appreciate.How long will it take?Every project is different and so it just depends on what you need me to do. Once I have a better understanding of your needs I will give you a timeline and keep you updated throughout the process.How much will it cost?Since I am just getting started in my new web design career I am offering my services at a discounted rate. Of course, I would like to feature your site on my portfolio page and would appreciate a testimonial of our experience together. As with the timeline, each project is unique, but generally speaking my rates start at $150 for a simple home page and $50 for each additional page. Of course, the more pages you have, the better discount you will get and the more difficult sites will take more time.I will give you a guaranteed estimate after we agree on the details. The other costs you may incur are the domain name which can be purchased for as little as $10/year and hosting which varies depending on your needs for security and size. Any graphics I create will be billed at an hourly rate of $25/hour.If you are a nonprofit organization I may be able to volunteer my services to you depending on my schedule. I enjoy contributing to the community any way I can. Contact me for availability.Where is your office?As a freelancer, I work from my home. Generally, everything can be done by phone, fax and email. If you are local and would like to meet I can come to your office or we can meet over lunch if you like. I am open to what makes you comfortable.
