Founded in December 2010 by Scott Merrington and Kate Roxburgh, Laughter lung has in a short time an already colourful history. Our first venue, The Circle Bar in Clapham burnt down during a Laughter lung show. Thankfully everyone got out safely, but the venue was to be no more.
After a short stint at The Black Sheep in Crystal Palace, we found a new home at The Grey Goose also in Clapham. Recently renamed The Kings Head, The back room is scheduled to be knocked down in August. Laughter lung is once again looking for a new home.
Fire and demolition aside, Laughter lung has gone from strengh to strengh. To date we have had over 200 acts perform at our night, many of whom have returned again and again.
From the beginning we have set the bar high, with our opening night headlined by the amazing Paul Foot, who held the audience captive with a 25 minute joke. Since then we have had the pleasure of seeing headline acts such as.
Hannah Warman, Sean Brightman, Joel Dommet, Neil Sinclare, Chaquai billy, Lee Camp, Linus Lee, Nick Sun, and Manos the Greek.
In June and July we will be showcasing Edinburgh previews, finishing on the 24th of July
with shows from both Robert White and Joel Dommet.
This August we will be at Peter Buckley Hill`s Free Fringe 2011

We are pleased to announce that we have now teamed up with Al Cowie`s LLaugh comedy, and are looking forward to bringing you more great comedy in the rest of 2011 and beyond
