We develop, formulate and bring to market our own line of branded products, including over-the-counter topical creams, skincare and hair and scalp treatment products, as well as nutritional supplements that we market globally through a network of regional distributors and wholesalers.
Overview
Our company was founded in September 2008 by current VP of Research and Development, Dr. Nigel Christie PhD, who developed a proprietary gel formulation from a species of giant kelp, called Ecklonia Maxima. This natural active ingredient, called CEM-K, is used in the Dermikelp® reange of products, which treats a wide range of chronic skin disorders, incluing Eczema and Psoriasis, by providing an effective natural alternative to widely prescribed Corticosteroids.
We invest in ongoing scientific research, focused on developing niche pharmaceutical products for distribution to the global consumer healthcare market.
Dermikelp products have been specially formulated to effectively relieve dry, itchy skin and scalp conditions, insect bites, minor burns, sun damage and other minor skin irritations.
Our natural active ingredient, Ecklonia maxima, a species of brown kelp, is hand harvested from the pristine waters off the Cape coast before being put through the unique Cellburst Technologie™ extraction process.
Dermikelp products are cortisone, coal tar and paraben free, provide immediate relief from itchy skin irritations, and are suitable for long term use as an ongoing maintenance program for dry, itchy skin and scalp conditions.
