The CEA was founded to recognize Cameroonians in entertainment. It is a non-profit organization whose aim is to involve the participation of the entire community. Though it was founded with an ideology to put the Cameroonian Entertainment Industry on the world stage, it also appreciates and recognizes other talents of Cameroonians.
While celebrating the achievements of our entertainers, CEA seeks to find ways to improve the communities from which these entertainers and celebrities originate.
This event promises to show case many of Cameroon's top entertainers as well as celebrities from Cameroon and the African Diasporas. Proceeds from this event will go to improving disadvantaged Cameroonian and other African communities in addition to sponsoring and promoting new talent.
Miss Africa USA Pageant is the biggest and the most publicized pageant that features African Queens in the United States of America today. The pageant has certainly transcended from a small State pageant launched in Atlanta Georgia in 2005, to one of the most highly anticipated annual community events in America today. The Miss Africa USA Pageant is grooming a new generation of African women leaders to impact their communities in Africa, America and the rest of the world.
The vision is for African girls in America to shine the spotlight on Africa, tell their stories to the world and inspire one another, build self esteem, and feel beautiful inside and out. This pageant is like no other, the delegates are very intelligent young women from some of the most respected educational institutions in North America, with careers spanning from the Sciences to the Arts, some in Medical School or Pharmacy School, others are upcoming Journalists or Human Rights Activisits and more.
They have acquired the American spirit of giving back and service to humanity and they are doing just that. The Miss Africa USA delegates speak for Millions of women, children and communities that have no voice. These young women are seizing the opportunity that America presents to advocate for the less fortunate.
No one would have believed 5yrs ago that a Miss Africa Queen would one day ship a container of Medical Equipment and supplies worth up to $450,000 from America to Africa, supporting 6 different local hospitals. Well this is what Miss Mfonobong Essiet, Miss Africa USA 2007-2008 did. She rallied communities in Miami Florida and raised funds for her project and she delivered. Her donation of medical equipment and supplies to hospitals in Nigeria was received with great joy and celebration in those communities.
No one would have believed 5yrs ago that an African Queen in America would join forces with major charity organizations in the USA such as Concern USA, Habitat for Humanity, Diamond Empowerment Fund, to help raise funds for charitable causes benefiting communities in Africa and the United States of America. That is exactly what Miss Nyasha Zimucha, Miss Africa USA 2008 - 2009 did, she volunteered with Habitat for Humanity to build 25 homes for the homeless, she joined Concern USA and Concern World Wide campaigns and helped raise over $120,000 for chairity, She volenteered for Russell Simmon's Foundation The Diamond Empowerment Fund, performing and speaking at fund raising events and mentoring children in the Arts. DEF supports schools in South Africa. Nyasha also started a campaign to stop Xenophobia attacks in her homeland South Africa, in 2009.
Miss Teizue Gayflor, Miss Africa USA 206-2007 toured Liberia in 2007 on a mission to promote education among school children. At the time, Liberia was pulling out of a civil war that had destroyed the country. She toured various schools and installed ceiling fans in congested classrooms to make the learning environment more comfortable for children, she volunteered at orphanages helping children who had lost their parents in the bitter war that tore Liberia apart. She had a message for Liberians which she broadcast over radio and television interviews calling for peace and reconciliation.
Miss Zambia 2008 -2009 Mutinta Suuya is busy collecting books to for orphans and street children in Zambia. She is working with Books For Africa a non-profit organization in Georgia to send books to these children, get the street children off the streets into the classroom to get an education. She launched the Flame of Ambition campaign in 2009.
The 2010 Pageant has certainly attracted a group of highly motivated young women with extra ordinary stories and a renewed energy to advocate for women and children in need. It is therefore no surprise that a delegate who has been a victim of child slavery and child trafficking who finds herself in a top College in America, volunteering with the United Nations, decides today to step up and speak up against this crime on humanity.
It is not surprising to have a delegate who became orphaned due to the genocide that took place in Rwanda, got adopted by a wonderful American family and brought to the United States, now living a comfortable life and enrolled in a University decides to step up and advocate for the orphans the orphans in her native Rwanda who do not have the opportunities that she had.
It is amazing to hear first hand from an orphan from Namibia who lost both parents to HIV/AIDS, though she tested negative, she now has the responsibility to care for her younger siblings who were not so lucky as she was. No wonder she is working at helping orphans who lost their parents to HIV AIDS.
The Stories are many and that is what places the Miss Africa USA Pageant apart from all other pageants.

The pageant is an elaborate celebration of African beauty in North America through a showcase of culture, talent and leadership. The pageant is committed to building the self esteem of young African women and empowering them as goodwill ambassadors to serve communities in need.
This is a non-politcal, non-patisan platform for young women to achieve personal growth and development, take pride in their heritage, discover their inner beauty in achieving their humanitarian goals in life and laying a strong foundation as leaders of the future.
Founded by the dynamic Lady Kate Njeuma a Cameroonian-American who came up with this great vision to provide a platform for young women to excel and take pride in their heritage.
The pageant is open to delegates from all 53 countries that make up the continent of Africa, the motherland. Pageant delegates are simply ordinary women of African descent , who face the challenges of growing up in two different cultures, the American and the African. A lot of young girls in America today whose parents are immigrants, suffer from identity crisis trying to establish who they really are, some find it difficult to embrace their African roots. This pageant helps make young women feel comfortable in themselves to accept who they are and be proud to share their heritage with the rest of the world.
The organization also takes great pride in bringing Africa to America and providing opportunities for Americans to really experience a little piece of the African culture.

Today I would like to nominate Lucky Dube.
Lucky Dube (8-3 -1964 10 -18 -2007) was one of Africas biggest reggae artist. Known to the world as The African Bob Marley. Lucky Dude started recording at the age of 18 and at the time of this death had recorded over 22 albums in three different languages. Most of his songs talked about the social problem and struggles of the people around him. His music was loved and enjoyed not only in Africa but also in North America, The Caribbean and Europe. He has produced ten highly successful reggae albums, including the multi-platinum released House Of Exile and Victims. Few global superstars who have racked up close to 20 years in the music business are still able to lay a claim to real inventiveness - and one can certainly count Lucky Dube amongst them. Having sold in excess of 3 million albums worldwide over a two decade career, Lucky Dube is the biggest selling Reggae artist and was one of its frontline stars. - Lucky Dube Biography
Why do I feel Lucky Dube should be inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Passion, Love, Zeal, Concern, accepting of all are just few of the word and phases used to describe him and his music. Lucky Dube brought hope in a time when there was no hope for freedom during the apartheid of South Africa. It is my opinion that music is the most powerful tool on this earth it can be used for good, it gives hope, it gives love, it makes you dance, it makes you cry. Music even has the ability to cure the sick, that is the power of music. Lucky Dubes music did just that, he was able to use his voice to move the heart of a nation, his music touches your soul, makes you think, makes you reflect on the social issues .His music also gave you a way out of your struggles, when you listen to such a song as Different Color / One People
