TimberTech
TimberTech, being a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, recycles more than 28 million pounds of wood and plastic scrap product each year. There are 11 different colors and we offer 3 styles;
XLM - Class "A" fire rated - PVC engineered
Twinfinish - 2 sided pattern wood grain appearance
Earthwood - A tropical wood grain look
TimberTech is low maintenance, durable and a wise investment for your home.
TimberTech, being of wood/ plastic materials and blended with uv-inhibiting pigments, will stand up to water and sun exposure, staying vibrant looking for many years to come. TimberTech requires no staining or sealing which means less maintenance for you, the homeowner.
TimberTech has proven to be durable in harshest of weathers and does not splinter or warp. There is a limited 25 year warranty and in many cases is transferable when the house is sold.
In many cases, when replacing a wood deck with a TimberTech product, you may see up to an 80% return on your investment.

Pressure Treated Lumber
We stock a full line of ground contact douglas fir pressure treated lumber; 2x, 4x, 6x and plywood, all sizes available.
The material of choice for outdoor structures is, of course, wood. Not only is it beautiful, it's inexpensive, easy to work with and doesn't require any specialized tools. Wood makes a wonderful meal for the insects and bacteria for your backyard and left untreated can be destroyed within a few years.
We highly recommend pressure treated products for the understructure of your deck. We stock a wide assortment of pressure treated wood products.
Composite Siding
Composite siding is a building material used on the exterior of homes and commercial structures. Known as cladding, siding, or weatherboard in various parts of the world, this product protects the interior of a building from water and other exterior elements. It also serves an aesthetic role, and is available in a number of textures and materials to suit various decors and home designs.
Like other cladding products, composite siding is installed so that it covers the exterior of a building completely, providing no openings for water to enter the interior of the space. Siding is available in boards or planks, which can be layered over one another horizontally or vertically. It is also commonly sold in the form of shingles, or shakes, which are smaller tile-like sections that can be layered in a variety of patterns. Some composite siding products are sold in the form of large panels, which are mainly used on commercial buildings, or to cover soffits or trim sections on homes.
While siding has traditionally been made from cedar or pine, these materials can be expensive and also are susceptible to rot and termite damage. Composite siding costs much less than siding made from hardwoods, and offers an array of other benefits as well. Some varieties of composite siding are made from shredded wood or sawdust, with a bonding agent added for strength. Known as Oriented Strand Board (OSB), this product offers the look of solid wood siding for a fraction of the price. Like traditional wood products, OSB is susceptible to moisture damage, but offers a higher level of protection against termites and rot.
Fiber cement board is another popular composite siding product. Made from cellulose fibers, sand, and Portland cement, this material is one of the most durable and longest-lasting siding products on the market. It can be made to resemble wood, but is much cheaper and typically will outperform wood siding on a number of factors. Fiber cement board is highly resistant to fire, termites, and water damage, and holds it shape through the years with little maintenance. This product can be purchased in many different colors and finishes, and requires repainting only every ten years or so.
Trims
Whether you're a contractor or weekend "do-it-yourselfer," trims are an inexpensive option to improve the exterior décor of your home.
We stock two types;
"Smart" Trim - A pre-primed product with a cedar grain look. Offered in 4/4" and 5/4" thickness.
"Lifespan" Trim - Real wood, preserved against rot and termites. A "No Knot" product.
Plywood
Whether you are looking for forming panels for your concrete pours or sheathing for a house, we have a broad selection of plywood and OSB to meet your needs.
Our construction plywood is made from Douglas Fir veneers. Our customers prefer Doug Fir because of its strength, stability and weather resistance. We stock CDX sheathing and underlayment grades.
Dryspace
Ideal for second-story decks, TimberTech's DrySpace deck drainage system collects and channels moisture from the spaces between your planks. Attaching easily to your new or existing deck joists, DrySpace effectively turns lower level patios into extra leisure and storage space - creating a usable and completely dry space under your deck. The off-white color design lightens and brightens the area under a deck, giving that space a crisp, finished look.
Railing
The most popular composite railing system, is easy to install while offering the most color combinations for your composite deck. Hidden hardware creates sleek, smooth lines along the deck railings, while the sturdy architectural design eliminates rattles and squeaks.
Ornamental Rail:
There's nothing conventional about Ornamental Rail. Created for those who prefer a more traditional style, Ornamental Rail is timeless and has the look and feel of real wood.
Builder Rail:
Designed for the perfect view, this composite rail combined with galvanized black metal balusters reflects both beauty and strength.

I have been a contractor in Shingle Springs and serving El Dorado County since 1983. One of my specialties is decks, and over the years I have seen many changes in available products. The addition of composite materials to the industry has been fantastic giving homeowners many more options other than redwood and all of the maintenance that comes with it.
With so many new options to consider when assisting a homeowner design their new deck, such as composite decking, PVC plastic decking, handrails, colors, the possibilities can be overwhelming.
