Proved both hypotheses in US study. Will look to confirm in UK version.
DonorVoice , a survey research company focused on retention, has just completed a national study on Donor Commitment in the United States. The Executive Summary can be found by clicking the US Study Findings tab.
In partnership with SOFII and The Agitator we are replicating this study in the UK. We’'re inviting a small group of organizations to participate with us.
Part of the project includes a major, UK benchmark study of donor/member loyalty and commitment. In addition to this UK study and sample, which we’ will provide, we are conducting a parallel survey with a sampling of donors from the housefiles of specific organizations.
The details of this parallel study, what your involvement means and what we need from you, can be found by clicking the UK Project Requirements tab.
But first, the reason for this study.
Lots has been written, talked and preached about the need to create, maintain and grow donor relationships...with near unanimity about the immense value derived: Higher retention. Higher net income. Higher Life Time Value.
What is missing is a systematic, math-based, proof-based and theory-based process to measure the strength of the donor relationship and the marketing, communications, fundraising and operational actions your organization can take to affect it.
1
Our Donor Commitment Score, derived from 3 survey questions, is mathmetically linked to RFM behavior - high/low scores correlate with better/worse RFM behavior.
Benefits
if Proven
2
We can identify the marketing, communications, fundraising and operational activities, under your control, that impact Donor Committment.
Benefits to Your Organization
Here’s what we need in terms of your participation:
DonorVoice and SOFII representatives will hold a closed-session briefing to report the findings of the national sample, your organization'’s sample and share the key actions you can take to positively and practically impact donor retention and Life Time Value.
Preliminary snapshot of the health of your donor file based on your overall Commitment score.
Proof. You'’ll know whether this score, which is incredibly easy to implement on your own, matters.
The 3 questions. We'’ll give them to you AND share specific ways to apply the score they generate for segmentation and tracking.
Survey responses from your donors
Free FOOD. We’'ll even buy lunch for the briefing.
