Just completed vocal tracking for the first 5 songs of the debut 11 song album from talented Rock group Black Beans and Hippie Liver. Tracking should be finished by April and off to mixing for a mid year release!

About

Kevin Proctor is an recording engineer, mix engineer, rock/funk/blues guitar player, and songwriter originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is a graduate of Ex'pression College for Digital Arts and has obtained a Bachelor's of Applied Science degree in Sound Arts. Currently, he is employed by the Palms Casino Resort as an assistant engineer at the Studio at the Palms . He has had formal training in piano, musical theory, and guitar and has played in bands of multiple genres of music including rock, funk, blues, electronic, hip hop, and folk.

Originally born in Southern California, Kevin grew up in Las Vegas and graduated fom Basic High School in Henderson, Nevada. Although being from a very sports dominated family, he found that his talents were not in playing baseball and football, but instead in theater, broadcast journalism, and eventually music. After being injured playing football, he sought out a different form of expression and found it in a group of friends that offered to teach him how to play guitar and join their classic metal band, playing covers of the 'classic 4' : Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, and Megadeth. He began playing/teaching himself how to play guitar with only the help of online tablature and a loud Marshall half stack, and began writing his own songs and collaborating with other musicians in the area, forming the alternative rock group Yesteryear.

Upon graduating from high school, Kevin ventured out and became interested in technical aspects of television and radio and began working as an intern at the Public Broadcasting Station, Las Vegas . He eventually began working full time as a support staff assistant, running audio consoles for live broadcasts as well as being a full time student at UNLV studying piano and musical theory. Eventually, he looked for an alternative type of schooling and found Ex'pression College, a Digital Arts school with hands on, in depth studies of music, and the production involved in recording, mixing, and mastering media in the modern age.

Kevin is a versatile guitarist and eager audio engineer with an interest and drive to work with and collaborate with many different artists in many different genres. He will not complete the project until the artist is completely happy with no exceptions. Please feel free to contact him for tracking, mixing, and composition/arrangement services.
