Besides being, as one artist described him, an "incredibly talented swiss-army-knife producer, arranger, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist", David Smith is himself a fomer label artist, a published songwriter, a former session guitartist, winner of UCMVA awards for producer and songwriter of the year, winner of numerous Songdoor International Songwriting Competition awards, song crafting coach and recording producer for many artists for well over 20 years.
David's true calling is working with indie artists, helping them put together professional sounding recordings that improve the effectiveness of their ministries and open doors for them in terms of radio airplay, compilation CD's, competitions and other ways that give their ministries more exposure and their music into the hands of those who want and need it.
David's clients have gone on to sign with labels and win major national contests and have their songs chosen as theme songs for national events. Every single one of the artists David has worked with have gone on to gain greater exposure through radio airplay and acceptance onto major compilation CD's.
But perhaps David's greatest strength is in using his experience and talent to help an artist focus, clarify and acheive what they envision for their own sound.
