About
Mostly from me you'll be seeing a mixed rock or metal genre, but I like to add humor and intricate guitar rifts. I am currently attending my last year at Lahainaluna High School and heavily involved with the Music Department there. I am a Music Dept. Officer, I play tenor sax(Jazz Band, Concert Band, Marching Band), Guitar(Marching Band, Jazz Band), and sing in the choir. I am also section leader for everything I am involved in except Tenor Sax for jazz band and Marching band. Music is a very important part of my life and I can't go with out it. Obviously my main instrument is guitar and I play sax for the fun and experience. The reason I joined choir is because I wanted to be able to sing and play guitar at the same time. Two years later and i have gotten much better, I hope to put up a vocal type cover/original some time in the near future. But i am not yet talented enough to release my voice to the world. As far as training goes, I have been addictively playing guitar for 5 years. I have gone through 2 years of guitar class, and had personal training from the guitar god Harry Troupe(arguably the best guitarist on Maui) so him and my more than helpful band director(Myron Carlos-Youtube: Xymbalreborn) has made me go from being a complete "gui-tard" to a music theory freak. Because of this, my real Inspirations are not even people who are incredibly famous. If I were to pick a favorite playing style I'd say Steve Vai, but that's not a direct inspiration. It's the people that start off small and make it big, to tell you the truth my main inspiration is Rob Chappers just because I've been watching his videos since he was endorsed by Orange Amps. So for better or worse, I have been using Orange ever since. I have played in many live envioroments such as the Hard Rock Cafe in Lahaina, Lahaina Civic Center, War Memorial Stadium, Kaahumanu shopping center, the Cannery Mall, Maui Arts and Cultural Center (both Castle Theater and the Mcoy Theater) and even right out of my own garage. There is alot of pride and joy with being on stage. Not only just performing, I love the entire feeling of just being involved in the gig. This is something I can see myself being apart of for the rest of my life. One way or another.

Gear

The legendary B.C. Rich Draco V (Amy). It's one of a hundred and was my first good guitar. This thing screams for metal and chugs the E string like a beast. but that's it. As you probably can imagine you won't be playing anything more than metal with this. It's a chambered mahogany and is really neck heavy, so it takes a whole lot of getting use to. But i've learned to love it, and I will continue to use it as an impressive show-piece.
This is my Jackson Dinky (Hannah). I bought it for the Floyd rose and EMG's, which are great. But everything else on it is trash. If I remember correctly my Squire had a smoother fret board. Which is a very sad thing. So a word of advice for those of you who are thinking of getting a jackson, spend the extra cash and buy a Soloist cause it really makes a huge difference.

My newest guitar, It's a custom Warmoth Stratocaster (Sierra). It was my seinor project, and to the right is my mentor and my guitar teacher; it's more like master and apprentice, Harry Troupe. He gave me the pick ups to this strat, and i had to research the parts and buy the rest. We also had help from Kavi at Lahaina Custom Guitars with the electronics, Such as Graph Tech's acousti-phonic Pick ups. it sounds great. You can hear it really well in my Viva La Vida Cover. Go check it out! And don't forget to suscribe!
My 30-Year Old Gibson Sonex 180 Deluxe(Taylor Swift). This damn thing is as heavy as an anvil, and it's small too. but the pick ups are vintage and scream so nicely. I had to lower them from when I first got the guitar because there was an awful feedback problem. This guitar picked me, and it has been good to me ever since. I found it used in a local guitar shop, and instanlty fell in love with it. This was very strange because I have never liked Les Paul bodies before. Sure enough I sold an arm and a leg to get another guitar.
I only use Elixer .9 Polyweb Strings and Dava Picks. The slinky strings and bendy picks makes a great combination for maximum control. That and the Strings will last for a few months even if you play everyday.
I use an Orange Tiny Terror, a Boss ME-70 Multi Effects Pedal, a Boss GE-7 Equalizer, and a Gallien Krueger 4x12 closed back cabinet. Which has two Behringer condenser microphones that plug into my 1200W Behringer P.A. system. And there is Aux Cable coming out of the headphone jack that plugs into my computer's microphone input for recoeding purposes. I use Mixcraft 5 for sound editing.
