1. Little consumer knowledge about Service Concepts. Most consumers serviced by REMCs have little knowledge about Service Concepts or their overall goal. However, intensive promotion could solve this problem. 2. Limited resources. While the overall goal of Service Concepts, increased energy efficiency, is an attainable goal, they have limited resources with which to do this. Service concepts can not simply replace every light bulb or turn off light switches when people leave the room. It is infeasible and operating at a loss due to high costs is not a viable option.
