Service Concepts was originally incorporated by 28 power distribution system, 2 generation and transmission companies and The Statewide Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives in 1999. Since then, they have served rural electric cooperatives by providing concepts for value-added services and brand reinforcing programs. Currently, Service Concepts is considering launching a marketing campaign to decrease power consumption throughout its 28 Indiana Rural Electric Cooperative members. During this campaign, the specific target will be families with children enrolled in grades Kindergarten through 8th. This market will be reached through the distribution of grade appropriate, interactive energy efficiency educational materials. After the first year of this campaign, we hope to have 50% of schools located within REMCs distributing and using these educational materials one day per academic year.
