- Ave Maria home buyers: Typically, when buying from Pulte (or Divosta, Del Webb, Ave Maria Development, or a private seller), a buyer has the right under federal law to have his own attorney handle the title work and closing. The buyer's cost will be virtually the same as if the buyer used Pulte's title company, and the buyer is free to insist that his own attorney serve as title agent even if the buyer signed a document agreeing to use Pulte's title company. Some buyers appreciate knowing their own attorney (not Pulte's title attorney) is handling all of the title and closing work and answering the buyer's questions - typically at no extra cost to the buyer. I am happy to offer this service to buyers.
- Hourly rates vary from $225 to $275.
- Flat fixed fees are available for many legal services, including real estate closings, and the drafting of legal ducuments such as wills, powers of attorney, and contracts.
- Businesses and corporations can place me on retainer beginning at $2,000.
- Many non-profit entitites qualify for reduced rates.
- Pesonal injury cases are normally handled on a contingent fee basis.
