Within a MindCube structure, Kilohertz tells a story about the universe inside our body. While sound at various frequencies penetrates our body thorugh our feet, a multimedia installation inside the MindCube guides the viewer on where to bring awareness.

This Kilohertz installation is presented as a gift from Planet Horta. A small sample of thinking grass, stones and water. Visitors lie down and listen to the sounds inside their body. The water puddles translate tactile Horta language into shapes.

To generate a visceral catharsis of Kusterle's work of video art, Kilohertz installed one of its soundgrass platforms. The observers watched the lady float on water and algae as they lied down and the powerful soundtrack of the video penetrated their bodies.

In this installation, Kilohertz experiments with body sound perception and imaging. Here it integrates the sound and sensory experience with a visual one through its Chladni wave generators: liquids that react with the sound transmitted from speakers.

KILOHERTZ is engaged in promoting a new avant-garde in which the composer, musician, or DJ is able to interact directly with the bodies of those that listen. This opens up new possibilities of concert format where the performer becomes a sound masseur and is able to intervene at a physical level, but also beneath the skin.
KILOHERTZ works with composers and producers to jointly develop this avant garde by creating music for the body. Special body music soundtracks are developed to be inserted in our spaces, concerts and products.
KILOHERTZ philosophy blending sound and object design finds its applications in very special environments at spas, hotels, discoteques, VIP lounge rooms, cafes and trade shows.
KILOHERTZ spaces are places where you can let your body feel the music while your ears are let to rest.
The KILOHERTZ DOME is a multi-sensory concept for relaxation areas especially suited for spas. As you lie on the KHZ-powered water beds you perceive music throughout the body and witness its shapes projected on the dome surface. The original concept, now a permanent installation at TermeMilano, a SPA in Milano was developed in collaboration with Mattia Trabucchi.
MONO is an audio-tactyle single seat sofa module. Together with the LYTH accessory pouf it becomes MONO+LYTH: an integrated audio-tactile seating system for your home.
A tribute to the Stanley Kubrick aesthetic of 2001: Space Odissey. In the movie a black slab lands on earth to help it evolve. MONO+LYTH is an integrated audio and tactile piece of furniture that educates humanity on a way to bring sound shapes inside the body.
HORTA is a soft rock. If you sit or lie on it, you have a strong tactile perception of sound. Horta can be connected in a network with numerous other modules according to the size of the room and sound power desired. Horta can be connected to any non amplified sound source (ipod, mixer, cd player, computer ecc).
The name Horta is a tribute to the 1969 Star Trek episode "the devil in the dark". In the episode, Spock succeeds in establishing a Vulcan mind blend with a Horta, a rock-like creature composed entirely of silica. A thinking stone. He listens to the rock through touch.

SOUNDGRASS is a modular concept for indoor and outdoor lounge areas. The platform is covered in soft plastic grass. Inside, powerful vibration generators and a system of amplification allows people to listen to music with body, as well as ears. Relaxing, interesting and fun.
Soundgrass modules are 1.80 mt X 2.50 mt. The soft plastic grass covering makes it ideal for interesting happenings such as the Pic Nic Sonique. Platfoms can be assembled according to desired size. Vibrating embedded water puddles are available for a visual experience of sound.
The future of music is not in the ears.
It's in the body.
The body offers a space for listening and composition. Sound produces shapes which can be visualized within. Music can transform our body into an exhibition space.
