Make sure you treat the tattoo as a wound, because that's what it is! All you need is a small amount of vaseline and some fragrant free lotion.
The first 3 days apply a small amount of vaseline to the area. Blot with a paper towel twice. Apply the vaseline in the morning and evening.
After three days, begin using the lotion as a itch relief and moisturizer. You want the skin to breathe so keep the application light.
If any irregular redness, sores, or rashes appear, always contact your physician.
