Paperless Copy of Client Tax Return
This year we are offering our clients the option for a paperless copy of their tax return. You may either choose to continue receiving your copy of the tax return as usual, in a booklet format, or you may opt to request your tax returns be copied to a CD for your records. If you like the CD paperless option, please notify us at the time you drop off your tax documents.

BRIAN HAWKINS, CPA
General Manager
Honest. Dependable. Experienced.
These are just few words to describe our General Manager, Brian Hawkins.
He joined IMS in 2005 as a Tax Manager overseeing the company tax preparation workload year after year.
Aside from being a tax expert, he is also a Certified Public Accountant. He is now heading our company, providing the best possible audit and reviews on all accounting processes happening in the company.
In addition to his public accounting experience, Brian has also instructed college accounting and income tax courses and has extensive private industry experience through his role as a controller for a mid-sized oil distribution company. He enjoys helping individuals and businesses through the plethora of complex tax rules and regulations.
KATHERINE THOMASON
Campaign Accounting Specialist/Staff Accountant
Since the establishment of IMS in the 1970s, Katherine Thomason has worked with IMS Founder, Sharon Wong intermittently over the past three decades.
Born in Texas, Katherine was a military child and wife. She first worked at IMS when her husband, a JAG officer, was stationed in Hawaii from 1978 to 1981. After leaving Hawaii, Katherine graduated from George Mason University in Virginia, and passed the CPA exam.
Twenty years later, in 1998, she became a partner in the company until 2002 when Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle invited her to serve as the Deputy Comptroller for the State of Hawaii. At the completion of Gov. Lingle's first term in 2006, Kathi returned to IMS and is currently working as a tax preparer and staff accountant specializing in Campaign accounting and reporting. She gains fulfillment in providing her clients the best possible solutions to their problems and bringing success to their businesses.
ROBERTA NEELY
Senior Staff Accountant
Roberta Neely has been with IMS Hawaii since 1986. Roberta studied general business at the University of Oregon and worked on the mainland until the 1980s when she decided to move to Hawaii.
A seasoned accountant, she handles all phases of bookkeeping, payroll and staffing meticulously.
Loyal to her clients, she has worked with some of our customers for over ten years, helping their businesses to thrive and grow. Roberta understands that although each business is unique, basic accounting is the same for all, and the trick is to know how to apply the very basic accounting to the unique structure of each client's business.
TRACY WATKINS, CPA
Staff Accountant
Tracy Watkins is the latest addition to the IMS Team. She joined IMS in January 2010.
Ms. Watkins graduated with Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting from University of Hawaii in Manoa. A Certified Public Accountant in the State of Hawaii, she handles tax preparation and client accounting, employing her skills in MAS90, Quickbooks, and other tax and accounting application softwares.
She is married with children and living in Kailua, Hawaii.
ROBYNE NELSON
Payroll Specialist/Staff Accountant
Ohio-born Robyne Nelson moved to Hawaii in 2003 to be close to her parents and joined IMS that same year.
As a Payroll Specialist, she transmits all payroll and General Excise taxes for all of IMS clients and supports the outsourced payroll operations of small-and-medium-sized businesses.
She is also adept in Accounts Receivables and Account Payables.
LAJUAINE RAPHAEL
Born and raised in Hawaii, LaJuaine graduated with an accounting degree at the University of Hawaii in West Oahu.
Trained in all aspects of accounting, she currently handles accounting software system support (she is the company's Quickbooks and Peachtree Expert), payroll processing and tax preparation.
La Juaine is married and has two little boys.
TAYLOR WONG
Accounting Clerk
Taylor Wong joined IMS as an assistant to Ms. Thomason in the Campaign Accounting section. She is an undergraduate student at the Windward Community College majoring in Accounting.
Taylor is the reigning Miss Hawaii Rodeo 2010.
GINA ARAGON
Administrative Assistant
Gina Aragon is the welcoming smile at the IMS office in Kaneohe.
A true Hawaiian, she is imbued with the Aloha spirit in dealing with our clients face-to-face or over the phone. She joined IMS Hawaii in January 2007.
Her people skills are unmatched.
