Infinity Photo Training is run by leading profesional photographer Kenneth Martin. The classes are designed for all levels of photographers and are held in the beautiful Scottish Borders town of Peebles. Classes are limited to only 4 delegates and morning coffee, lunch, refreshments and full course notes are included with all workshops. Kenneth is highly regarded in the photographic world, and a regular contributer to both the amateur and professional press, he was the first Scottish photographer to be awarded the Kodak Gold Award for Excellence in Photography and he is a past UK Portrait, Wedding and Pet Photographer of the Year. He was the Chairman of the Kodak Gold Award European judging panel for 4 Years and has won every catergory in the Scottish Professional Photographic Awards. Kenny has been on the international seminar circut for over 20 years and has taught fellow pro's all over the world, he has recently returned from a 3 week tour of South East Asia lecturing on large volume digital workflow for Phase One Digital Backs.
WORKSHOPS
We run a full range of workshops at Infinity Photo Training, our most popular class is the original 'Digital Photography Made Easy' this full day class is limited to only 4 delegates and is designed for beginner to intermediate photographers, covering everything you need to know about how you camera works, digital basics, file formats, RAW files, histograms, menus, exposure modes, metering, lens use, and much more. During the day we also cover modules on Composition, Light and Colour. Our facilities are very comfortable with Tea and Coffee on tap, refreshments on hand and a 42" Plasma for display, this relaxed atmosphere results in a great learning experience. More advanced photographers are also catered for in our 'Professional Portrait Lighting' workshop. Part classroom part location this exciting workshop covers studio lighting in the morning and location lighting in the afternoon, models and travel to locations included. Lighting is Kenneth's speciality and this is a not to be missed opportunity to learn from one of the leading exponents of lighting techniques in Europe. The objective of this full day Masterclass is to help photographers understand how to ‘find’ the light and how then to use it to create portraits and wedding photography of outstanding quality. All types of light will be explained in full but there shall be more emphasis on natural light and the beautiful results that can be achieved. Kenneth is currently shooting all his portraiture at home or on location and using natural light in a vast majority of the sessions. During the workshop Kenneth will show the delegates how to promote this style of portraiture, the theory of using natural light will be explained and through practical demonstrations Kenneth will shoot a complete family session both inside, using window light, and outside. The essential components for a successful shoot will be covered - finding the light, metering and exposure, lens use and much more. Photoshop Elements is the choice of Photo Editing Software for the enthusiastic amateur photographer. Packed with features and unlike its big brother, the highly complicated, Photoshop CS4 it is geared up purely with photography in mind. This program is superb value for money, at around £60, is has many of the features which appear in the £500+ CS4 and in some cases it does things better and with greater
simplicity. It also features a superb RAW converter which handles most RAW files. I have been getting to grips with Elements for around a year now and have devised a course to bring you up to speed with the most important aspects of the software. Starting with how to Set-up Elements, followed on by looking at all the tools available and then by taking 20 examples of the most common photo problems we will work together to correct overexposure, underexposure, blemish removal, color issues, panoramic stitches, blending exposures, changing the sky, adding borders and text, using layers, selective color, softening, sharpening and much more.
