So many of our young people
are dying too young
We need to teach them at an early age
How to stand up and be strong
Are we going to just sit back
And watch them waste their life
Without raising a finger, let alone a hand?
If not then it's time for us to take a stand
Talk to your children
And let them know it's not okay to do drugs
Or to walk around carrying a gun
Calling themselves a thug
Life on earth is only for a short while
And our kids are dying right before our eyes
If we aren't willing to take a stand
Then we'd better prepare ourselves
For a whole ot lot of goodbyes.
