Meet k/d/morris

k/d/morris was born and raised in Philadelphia PA December 2, 1962. When he was eight years old he took his late mother's Kodak 110 camera apart and put it back together . He learned that was a major "no-no" and as a "reward," she sent him to a photography class. He was always one to dig beneath the surface to see what makes things work. Now, more than 40 years later, he photographs people as they work and enjoy life.His first cameras were two Canon AE1 Programs. These were preceded by a Canon T-50, which he traded for a lens. About 15 years and eight cameras later, k/d/morris has worked with one Canon A2, one Canon A2e, Mamiya RB67 Sony Mavica CD1000 and currently, two Canon 30D's and a Casio Exlim 700 (5mp) pocket digital. With little formal training, k/d/morris honed his craft by following the leaders in the photographic community through reading books and articles and asking questions of other photographers. Through trial and error, which was an expensive but rewarding lesson, it paid off. As a result, k/d/morris has become well-known for his concert, fashion and event photography as well as "everything you need a photographer for..." photographer.OPERATION GIVE BACK: PHOTOGRAPHYWhen experienced concert photographer k/d/morris reflected on a question that he once asked another experienced photographer a specific question: "How did you do that?" with regard to an image he had seen by the photographer. The answer was dismissive and life altering. As a result, Operation Give Back: Photography was born on October 16, 2010.The primary function of Operation Give Back: Photography ("OGB") is to interact with other experienced and novice photographers by teaching, exchanging ideas, sharing knowledge and techniques on settings, conditions, composition, landscape, still life, event and candid photography, including but not limited to copyright protection and virtual publications. OGB is for anyone who takes pictures regardless of your ambition, level or frequency.It is his intent to have Operation Give Back: Photography grow into a Non-Profit foundation with the assistance of corporate and private sponsorship and contributions that benefits a universal community of photographers who will in turn "Give Back."

With studio lighting equipment and mobility, we have options available for you. On location or you may come to one of two locations for your photographic needs. A $10.00 Sitting Fee applies in addition to the package prices and a $25.00 deposit must be paid at time of appointment, The sitting fee and deposit are nonrefundable.
When you, your family, friends or associates are together and need the time to be "in the moment" or just sit back and relax and enjoy it all, allow k/d/morris photography to be there to capture your smile and transform those moments into memories. Then plan your next life event and call on k/d/morris photography to be there for you. With negotiable and flexible pricing plans, packages and service options, k/d/morris photography is your choice. Flexible rates and options available. Fifty percent (50%) deposit required based on agreement.
