November 6, 2009
Dear Parishioners, School Families, and Supporters,
Over the past few weeks, I have witnessed the efforts of many people in our parish, school, and alumni family working towards our fundraising goals. I am humbled by their devotion. I have also been searching for that bridge to give us the time to let all these efforts work. Wednesday night, November 4, 2009, I offered this new plan, modifying our goals and extending our dates.
The new plan is a tiered approach. The new goals are to raise $150,000 by November 30, 2009, then $300,000 between January 1, 2010 and July 31, 2010, and meet our normal bequeaths/fundraising requirements throughout the school year.
Based on this plan, I will announce, no later than February 28, 2010 that St. Michaels School will open its doors for the 2010-2011 school year if we achieve the following goals:
1) We raise $150,000 by November 30, 2009, of which we have already raised $45,000. This outside normal H/SA fundraising activities and must be cash, not pledges.
2) We raise 58% ($77,000) of our normal bequeaths/fundraising. We are currently $10,000 ahead of last years fundraising pace.
3) We raise 25% ($75,000) of the $300,000 goal.
This new plan meets our current fiscal requirements, allows us to focus on our normal fundraising activities, and provides time to provide for the long term viability of the school.
To help meet our goals, please visit our new Thanks-A-Million website and donate. Together, we can succeed.
Thanks-A-Million!
In Christ,
Father Lee
