My Name is Katia Medina and I am a volunteer for the Broward County Animal Care. I have been volunteering there for 5 years and have mastered phoDOGraphy on all pets at the shelter. I take photos of all the pets to help increase adoption. I also work with several animal rescue organizations by providing them with FREE photography services to show off their adoptable as well. My name is Dunkin and I have a true TAIL to tell you. I was found wondering the streets in Texas. I was all alone, hungry and very scared. I was taken to a high kill shelter where I was scheduled to be put down a few days later. How I prayed for someone to find me before it was too late. Thankfully a volunteer posted my photo on Facebook. Before you know it I got transported to South Florida through Pilots & Paws and taken to Get A Life Pet Rescue.
Everyone knew that I didn’t have the best life as I had a growth hanging my tummy, I was weak, tired and extremely terrified of everyone who touched me. I was vetted, vaccinated, had a dental removal, a cleaning of my teeth and suddenly I was on my way to a better life. My foster mom is working with me and making me a more social boy but I prefer to be known as your protector.
I am only 7 years old and weigh only 5 lbs. I am still a little scared of strangers but I come around if you give me some time to get to know you first. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy being social with them. I don’t like large crowds so I need a home with adults only. I am very scared of children so having them around might not be so easy for me. I love sleeping on a soft blanky and enjoy cuddling with you while watching TV together. My favorite channel is Animal Planet and my favorite movie is Benji!
I have been waiting patiently for a family of my own. I guess it hasn’t been my time yet but I am hoping after seeing me and meeting me, you will take the time to get to know me. All I need is a chance to show them how wonderful I can be. I only hope that I will find a home very soon where they will understand me and my personality.

PhoDOGraphing pets has become my passion. I love taking photos of my dogs at home. I volunteer at the animal shelters and got some great results. Adoption increased in a matter of time.
