Faith Development
We are excited about our learning environment, which prepares students with the skills they will need in this 21st century. When you visit our school, you will see teachers and learners working together on interactive whiteboards in all classrooms, or researching topics in our computer lab. Youll find us learning through a combination of text and hands-on, minds-on experiences From a balanced literacy approach to reading, through Envision Common Core math, FOSS science,and Concordia's 2011 religion, students learn daily the skills and applications to become positive and productive outside of the classroom. We know that a strong basic core curriculum is important to you, but so are experiences beyond the classroom. We offer choir, band, and technology instruction during the school day. We welcome volunteer art and music instructors. Extra-curricular activities include volleyball and basketball, as well as Tech Club. Our student council actively engages middle school students in service projects at school and throughout our community. After school care provides a safe environment for your child until 5:30.
To find out more about our faith, join us for student-led chapel services each Friday at 8:20 a.m. Students in kindergarten through eighth grade discover how to put faith into action through this and daily faith instruction. Additionally, our family groups help all students find special friends across all grades while practicing social skills, building character and developing teamwork. We also use Concordia's 2011 religion curriculum to bring us closer to Jesus in the classrrom. Our pastors lead confirmation classes two days each week for sixth and seventh grade students, and four days per week for eighth grade.
