News + Updates9/14/11Couple fun shows this week in Brooklyn with 3 pretty different bands....see "performances"...and some new projects in the works.... 5/19/11Just wanted to mention a fun night at the Tranzac next Wednesday: Jim, John, and I will be playing a set of adventurous trio music followed by a set of my music with Joel Visentin on keyboard and things. Maybe melodica. 4/30/11My quartet, Half Giraffe, will be playing at Somewhere There at 8pm on Friday, May 6th. Russ Macklem + Colin Power + Jim Sexton + myself. $8/pwyc.We've been working on some new music of mine for a while and I'm really looking forward to sharing it. Lessons

I have been teaching private drumset and percussion lessons to students of all ages for 8 years, both through schools and independently. I have experience playing in many bands (modern and traditional jazz, experimental/creative/improvised music, rock/funk/indie bands, wind ensembles, orchestras, and an experimental metal band) and also have a double degree in Jazz Performance and Music Education from the Eastman School of Music. I greatly enjoy teaching and sharing my passion for music with students.

Regular and one-off lessons are available. Rates vary based on location and lesson length, so please contact me for more information.
