Stamping, shouting, whirling, twirling, flipping, and flying through the air… how can it be? Polish dancing is simply the answer. As a Polish dance group situated in Sterling Heights, MI, Dunajec represents the beautiful and rich culture of Poland. Practicing six hours a week and performing almost every weekend during the summer, these young adults dedicate their time and love into dance.
All these dancers have either been born in Poland, have parents that were born there, or just simply joined the group to expand their knowledge of the Polish culture. The main adult group has 80 dancers. In combination with the younger dance groups of Dunajec, there are over a hundred enthusiastic Polish dancers.
We are performing group dedicated to promoting Polish culture through song and dance. Established in 1999, Dunajec Song and Dance Ensemble has had many performances in the state of Michigan and has also performed many times in Canada.
The ensemble performs for great Religious and National Holidays of Poland to keep up with the traditions and memories of our ancestors. Our repertoire includes all National dances and beautiful songs and dancers from many regions of Poland.
