The ESES program (European Solar Engineering School) started in 1999. Each year there is an increasing number of students coming from all around the world to study solar energy. You can find more information about this unique program by clicking on the ESES logo or learn more about the department by selecting the SERC logo.
The University presently has three different solar energy systems installed for research and educational purposes. These systems are a Photovoltaic Grid System (solar panels for making electricity), a Photovoltaic Wind Hybrid System (solar panels combined with a wind turbine to make electricity) and a Solar Thermal System (solar panels used for heating).
Here, staff are continuously researching various aspects of renewable energy with a focus on solar thermal and photovoltaic technology. They instruct students in a one year Masters program with a focus on the main subjects in solar engineering.
You are invited to explore these pages and learn a little more about how renewable energy is being put to work here as well as all around the world. On each page that you see the arrow buttons , you will have access to more details about that page by clicking on them.
For any questions, further explanation or inquiries please follow the ESES link (above) and select the contact tab on the school's homepage or follow the SERC (above) link. Thank you for visiting.
