about

Jerry J White III is a film director based out of Los Angeles, California. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri he graduated with a B.S. in Broadcast Media. He Made his first feature film before graduating college entitled 0:22:43. This film was accepted into the Bare Bones International Film Festival and almost picked up for distribution from After Dark Films. After Being passed on distribution he and his fellow filmmakers decided to give the film away on the internet. This film has now been seen in over 50 countries around the world and only cost $325 to make. Since moving to LA Jerry has been working on getting a feature film (Famous) off the gorund as well as a webseries entitled The Marriage counselor (TMC). TMC is now in production with its first episode in post production and episode 2 slated to begin on October 22nd, 2011, you can watch the trailer that we used for funding on the TMC link to the left. The feature film Famous is next on Jerry's plate, you can also watch the trailer by clicking on Famous to the left. Famous is a period boxing film based in the late 1800's. The trailer was shot last december in hope of getting potential financiers attached. Everyone has had the same response, "We love it, but the actor and director are not coming with the project, they are to young." Originally budgeted at 2.5 million dollars, the writer and Jerry have decided to make the film on their own and try to raise $100,000. Jerry has reduced the budget to under this goal while also making sure everyone is still paid. With every project comes a new struggle, but that struggle is what makes this business so exciting and rewarding. I, Jerry White, go into every project prepared to give my absolute all to bringing the project to life in the most exceptional way. Please take a look around at my work and also to the right check out what people have to say about me. I hope you enjoy and if there is anything I can help you bring to life please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to bringing you more films, and the harder they are to get done the more exciting they are to watch. Peace.Jerry J White III

Robyn Marsh-Wardrobe DesignerJerry,It was really my pleasure working with you. I had a wonderful experience and learned a lot while doing research for this. I could not have asked for a better group of people to be working with. I have been on so many shoots and a lot of them have been conducted unprofessionally and sub par. I have to say, yours was quite the opposite. Such an inspiring group of people to work with, I really am excited to be a part of team for Famous! Thank you so much for all of your support and for believing in my work! Jaxon Kramer-1st ADThe director is the driving force of every film. He is the auteur who makes all the creative decisions. He has the final word on every aspect of the film. He is always credited for the films success, but if the film fails to impress, he will be the first one to consider a career change.I truly believe to be really good at something it takes 5 percent talent, and 95 percent hard work. Jerrys talent cannot be measured or learned, and the remaining 95 percent is something that Jerry was born with. But what does it take to be a good film director? Obviously, a good director is smart and intelligent. Jerry is not only that but a true artist as well. He always knows what he wants. Jerry has four traits every great director has to have in my opinion. ONE: PASSIONPassion. Passion makes persistence. And persistence makes a good film. TWO: TEAM EFFORTMaking a film is a team effort. Jerry uses his brainpower to incorporate everyone as a creative team. Jerry redefines being a team player. He makes it clear means to consider everyones opinions (to an appropriate extent, of course) and to appreciate everyones contribution. THREE: A LEADER BY EXAMPLEWhen I was in film school, one of my mentors said that I was too quiet and that I should speak louder in order to maintain authority over the cast and crew. But I found that my trying to speak up on the set made my crew tense and in return I lost their motivation and respect. Jerry retains the focus of the crew and of the film. He finds the essence and communicates itto everyone on his set.FOUR: AN EYE FOR DETAILScreenplay, acting, camerawork, lighting, costumes, editing, sets, words, music, colors all of the above are essential. A movie is made of at least 24 frames per second. All of them are imperative. All of them can be improved for the greater benefit of the film, and Jerry captures them all amazingly. It was a true joy and learning experience being his A.D.Matt St. James-Actor (The Marriage Counselor)Comedy is really hard. And more than anything else in this business, it is a director's art. Too much control and you snuff the life out of it. Too much freedom, and the joke flies away from you. I'm really proud to be able to work with Jerry. Its nice to have a colborator who sees how the joke should be filmed, but can reognize something funny on the fly. He's dedicated, smart and funny. He knows how to surround himself with like minded people. And he knows how to get the best out of them. His shoots run smoothly, even when we hit a bump that no one can control. I'm really proud of the work we've done together. I can't wait to do more.
