SECTIONS 1 & 2
The rules of upper level cricket are much like those used in senior competitions. Overs are limited, and certain features are ruled out (e.g., no LBWs), but in general this level looks a lot like high school cricket. Players begin to carve out roles as bowlers and/or batsmen. Section 2 plays Friday evenings for 25 overs, Section 1 plays Saturday mornings, 35 overs.
Registration $50.
Ages 6-7
Milo KIWI CRICKET (SECTION 5)
The beginnings of club competition. Players use plastic bats, balls and wickets in a Saturday morning game of very limited overs. Everyone gets a go! Saturday morning games, 16 overs.
Ages 9-11
SECTION 3
Players learn to use hard balls, helmets, pads and all the gear. This is the first level when batsmen leave the crease when out. All players bat and bowl, but batting and bowling orders are developed over the course of the season. Rules are more like real cricket at this level. Friday evening games, 22 overs.
Registration fee: $50.
Ages 12-14

Coaches & Helpers needed!
We had 10 teams last year, and we hope to increase that number this year. So we’ll be needing parents who are interested in becoming involved. You can coach, assist a coach, manage, score, umpire, fundraise – and we’ll be happy to show you how. The club is only as good as the people who help.
Uniforms & Gear
Players should bring a jersey, sun hat and a water bottle to practices and games.
All gear is provided by the club. Boys in the hardball sections 3, 2, 1 and Prem must bring and wear a box at both matches and practices. All hardball players must wear a helmet when batting (provided). Players are welcome to bring their own gear to practices and matches. NEV players wear cricket whites at their matches (soft ball and HAG players need not).
PLEASE talk to your coach before buying expensive gear – we can recommend shops that will make sure your player gets the right size – and where we get a discount. Nobody plays well with a bat that’s too big.
