Who is Junie?
Born in Buffalo,NY in 1969 where he lived until he graduated from Riverside HS in 1988. Joined the Marines for a 5 year tour that was action packed. Traveled to Japan,Korea,Phillipines,HongKong,Singapore,Australia,UnitedArabEmmirants,SaudiArabia,Iraq and Kuwait . While being stationed in Camp Pendleton and MCAS Tustin barbering was his main hobby and he nourished it as his finished his job as a marine and transitioned to a career as a barber. He has 24 years of barbering experience that include every type of hair texture. He is the winner of barber competitions in LosAngeles (Like Minds), LasVegas(Vegas Hair and Nail Convention),Ontario(Wahl vs Andis). He has been a guest judge and well as head judge of several barber competitions. Junie partnered with the talented MrsKymm and opened Creations Salon/Barbershop in Irvine,CA on July 1, 2006.He dedicates a large amount of his time in the community in which he lives as a volunteer .Junie has spoken at local high schools and Colleges during Black History Month and Career Day. He has volunteered with several organizations like Red Cross, 100 blackmen of Orange County,Black Chamber of commerce of Orange County,NAACP,Jordan Downs Community Center,many churches, and just recently completed the training to become a CERT team member(Emergency Response Team) all while being a husband,dad, & salon owner. His salon is known for the thought provoking conversations and a welcome spirit to all that enters the door. JuniesTouch!!!
