Juggernaut: a term used to describe a literal or metaphorical force regarded as unstoppable. John J.G. The Jugganaut Gibson has in a short time lived up to his nickname. Born July 15, 1979, he has been moving forward an unstoppable force since the day he entered this world. Raised in Akron and Columbus, Ohio, John soon left both to attend Bowling Green State University on a football scholarship. He went on to get his BA in Interpersonal Communications [2002]. After a post college NFL career didnt materialize Gibson, a life long writer, fell in love with poetry after a poetic epiphany randomly hit him in the middle of the night. Heavily influenced by the hip-hop culture, Gibson guarantees to take your mind and heart on a metaphorical ride into the world of spoken word that covering matters such as civil rights to everyday experiences to family to romantic escapades. Showing great attention to detail, his work often packs as much information as a research journal but goes over as easy as your favorite song. His stage presence is as strong as his nickname given to him by friends. The Jugganaut is an extension of who J.G. is and he not only dawns the persona while behind a microphone, but truly becomes an unstoppable force every time he speaks.J.G. cajoles the listener to follow him on a lyrical journey to a vacation we all are in need of and deserve. Like any great artist he keeps his skills finely tuned in his form of art by attending and participating in a variety of open mics, poetry slams and other artistic and community events. Involved in many aspects of entertainment, Gibsons resume includes hosting Soul Soup an open mic night in Atlanta, GA, 2007. He also hosted Spoken Truth Online Open Mic in 2007. Gibson became the youngest radio analyst in the NCAAs BCS division football when he was named analyst for his alma mater in 2003, a position he held until 2006 before taking three seasons off and returning.The Jugganaut has shared stages with many of the stars of spoken word genre including, Umar Bin Hasaan (of The Last Poets), Talaam Acey, Ed Mabrey, Future, and Scott Woods. With the release of his debut album titled The Jugganauts Thoughts: Vol. 1, Gibson gives his audience a movie sized preview of just what makes him tick.
