My name is Jodi Renshaw. And I want to be your photographer.
I LOVE photography. I mean, REALLY love it. And I equally love people. Big time. So, if you hire me for your portrait session, wedding, business event, pet boudoir, or for a one-on-one photography class ... you will get the best I have to offer as well as my passion for the art and for your vision.
I absolutely love photography. Always have. The very act of creating photographic art is something nearly spiritual for me. I know I am not alone in this. That is part of why I created Studio 36 ... and Wanderlust Photography (my personal photography business that is housed in Studio 36).
Recently, as I began to grow more skilled in my photography, I started searching for a local place where I could practice some studio skills, take some specialized photography classes or workshops, network with other photogs, and perhaps join in on a group project or two. But I couldn't seem to find exactly what I was looking for. Sure, there are photography classes to be found in the area ... but none that offer studio time. Sure, there are camera clubs in the area, but none that offer specialized classes and group projects.
In retrospect, I see now that I was searching for a sort of 'coffee house' for photographers. I couldn't find one. So I had to create it myself.
Studio 36 is a personal dream that is becoming reality ... not just for me ... but for the countless photographers I have spoken to who have wished for the same sort of space ... to grow their skills ... share their art ... and commune with others who share their passion.
It is also a place for families and businesses to receive high quality, affordable and unique portraiture.
My vision for Studio 36 includes the following: specialized photography classes for every skill level, studio rentals for budding photogs, marketing space for selling photo art by local artists, craft classes for those who simply want to 'play' with their photographs, charitable group projects, etc, etc.

Studio 36 has now created a Co-Op opportunity for all area photographers! You can rent studio space by the hour or by participating in one of our many Co-op membership opportunities ... sort of like a "time share" for photographers ... in our gorgeous 1910 building.
What do you get? Well, seeing is believing ... so make an appointment to come on in and look around. But until then, let me give you a mental sneak peek.
Our studio boasts a 13' x 20' shooting area... equipped with strobes, continuous lighting, gorgeous large windows with excellent natural lighting opportunities, white brick walls, several backdrops, reflectors, a soft box and other goodies.
The space also includes a large waiting area room ... perfect for displaying some of your work to potential clients. ... while also assisiting to create a nice transition between client appointments. Also included is a dressing room area, bathroom, and storage space. We have everything you need ... seriously. And if we don't ... we'll get it!
