The sites we will visit on this tour are:

If someone on the street was to be asked "name the two most mysterious and most ancient places on earth," usually the answer would be Egypt and Peru. Why would this be? The basic answers are obvious:
-Both contain key names that people have in their common vocabulary; Pharoah, and Inca.
-Both have stone constructions, some immense and some not, but so finely constructed that the term 'can't fit a piece of paper between the stones' is used for both.
-Both were home to very large civilizations of amazing social structure.
-What remains of the two are their monuments, whose ages are hotly debated by archaeologists and independent researchers.
-And as such both are places of deep mystery; the more that is uncovered and discovered, the deeper the mysteries and questions become.
-Did the pharaohs really build the Great Pyramids as tombs? Are the exacting stone structures of Cuzco and Machu Picchu really the work of the Inca, using stone hammers and bronze chisels? Why such exactness in the execution of constructions by both cultures, and how?
-And the deeper and very surprising revelations; many of the engineering and construction techniques employed by the Egyptians are exactly the same as those of Peru.
-Also, elongated skulls, solely of royal and priestly classes, which appear in both cultures, and presumably at about the same time.
Tourists flock to both places to this day by the multiple thousands; some to research the vestiges of once proud high civilizations, and others drawn by a subconscious and even childhood need to see these mysterious places.

Money: Cash machines are quite common in Egypt, especially in the main tourist areas. But it is better and cheaper for you to change your cash money to Egyptians pounds ( EP) at your arrival in the Cairo airport banks (just before the police control) because it is the place where the rates are cheaper. Then Inside the second hotel in Cairo there is a change office . We will also show you places where you can buy « souvenirs « safely with your credit card
Electricity: In Egypt electricity is 220v 50Hz .You will need a Round Two pin plug adaptor. The voltage in Egypt it is 220 while in the USA it is 110. Check your devices as most can work with 110/220. If not you can get a transformer, which comes in Watts if needed. http://kropla.com/!c.htm
Photography: In the desert (because of radiations) photos and camera equipment batteries can sometimes be discharged completely in 10 minutes so plan extra batteries and don't forget to recharge all at night. You will be happy to take a multi plug to recharge all your devices (photo, camera, phone etc...) at the same time during the night. Tripod for cameras are not allowed outside the hotels. As we are going to restricted areas : sometimes photography of or near military official installations is strictly prohibited as well the use of binoculars. Don't photograph anybody without their consent. Please follow my advices very strictly. You may be detained or arrested if not.
Personal Pharmacy: To prevent the disease of the traveler it is important that you take when you arrive and during much of the stay tablets of an intestinal antiseptic (type ercéfuryl) (to act locally on the bacteria responsible for infections of the gut, your body is not accustomed to African bacteria and it is best to protect you to prevent a 24 H diarrhea) and an anti- diarrhea (type immodium). If you prefer you can also take grapefruit extract. On site, you will have to drink mineral bottled water, and use it to brush your teeth and avoid eating raw vegetables. Medical doctors in Egypt are excellent and in case : we have connections with the best ones. All medicine (or equivalent) from foreign countries are available in egyptian drugstores.
Food: All egyptian food is fresh. You will enjoy your meals. Alcohol is more and more difficult to find even in international hotels. But Egypt is known for their freshly Squeezed Juices.
Clothing: Plan to wear t-shirts, shirts and light trousers in natural materials. A light jacket can be useful and a sweater or pullover for the evenings and in climatized places. During the day it will be necessary to protect you from the Sun and wind, wear a hat or cap. And wearing sunglasses is essential. Egypt is also a conservative society; Women's clothes should cover their legs and upper arms. Men should cover their chests and not wearing shorts (but bermuda possible). We are going mainly in places without tourists. What may be acceptable in the tourist resort areas may not be in other areas. As for shoes : The lighter shoes possible. Pay attention to the sandals that leave your feet in contact with the burning sand. You will be able to change your shoes in the bus before visiting the sites. You can take everything that you want in a bag and leave it in security in the bus during our visits.
