as co-owner of workbook studio (1997-2006), i helped hundreds of bands and songwriters move to the next level of their careers. we were proud to be featured in mix, eq and pro sound news magazines as a premiere midwest recording hub. in 2008 i joined the staff at central city recording , working with new artists, established clients and expanding my role on commecial mulitmedia projects. Currently i am Studio Manager for Onomatopoeia in New York, managing audio post production projects for clients including HBO, PBS, Broadway Worldwide and Jim Henson Productions. i have also been privileged to work with renowned producers Tony Berg (Peter Gabriel), J.Robbins (Jawbox, Clutch), Elliot Scheiner, and Ben Hillier (Depeche Mode, Blur).

live my live sound experience began in college at the dugout in athens, ohio & continued at famed punk dive bernies distillery and little brothers in columbus, ohio. those were good times. it was very loud. relationships in the recording studio led to serving as sound engineer and tour manager for several north american tours: RJD2 (2008-2009), Saving Jane (2006-2009), the Sun/OK GO! (2005-2006), The Hives/New Bomb Turks (2004-2005). absolutely ridiculous. from 2009-2010, I was honored to serve as technical director of the historic lincoln theatre, managing all aspects of audio, video, lighting and crew. shows included music performances, musical theatre productions, corporate & political events.

music i have been fortunate to keep music writing, production and performance a facet of my professional life, through two decades of musical trends and technological evolution. time spent in a studio, on a stage, in a van, on a bus, retaking a vocal, redoing a solo, detuning, retuning and tuning again is immeasurable. bands i am a part of include: 1803, pretty mighty mighty, wake up powerful magnet and the killionaires. moderately successful radio play has been nice, as well as being featured on compilations alongside such heroes as matthew sweet, guided by voices, de la soul and they might be giants. i also write music for telvision, film and web applications, allowing me to step outside the traditional song format and experiment in genres i wouldnt dare impose on otherwise fearless bandmates.
