For over twenty years I have been employed in the home furnishings industry as a design consultant. I have been employed by some of the tops in their field including : Ethan Allen, Domain Home Fashions, Boston Interiors, Norwalk the Furniture Idea, and Bob's Discount furniture. I have also been employed as a project manager for a well know design studio in Massachusetts.
For over twenty years I have been employed in the home furnishings industry as a design consultant. I have been employed by some of the tops in their field including :

The key to being a top producer for a furniture store is that I design according to the clients' needs. My keen sense of color helps them create looks that they never dreamed of having in their home. When I come to the home, I ask to take a tour of the home first to get a feel for how my client lives. It may sound strange but I may even ask to see some their favorite outfits because it helps me develop the color scheme if they have no idea what their favorite color is.
If is furniture arranging that needs help, I may clean out the room and start over, but remember I work with what they have, so we may rearrange some items in room because one item may look better in the room we are working on. Finally, sometimes it is just a matter of reorganizing and condensing down to make a room more livable. It is all about creating comfort for the homeowner.
