Hi, I'm Mrs. Joan Nisler and I am your child's Kindergarten teacher. I have been teaching at Divine Savior School since its start in 2007. Prior to Divine Savior, I have taught Kindergarten at Holy Rosary and CPES.
DIVINE SAVIOR KINDERGARTEN
The purpose of kindergarten at Divine Savior School is to provide a nuturing, stimulating and safe environment in which the children can develop spiritually, emotionally, socially, intelectually, physically, and aesthetically.
The Goals of kindergarten at Divine Savior School include:
To develop a friendship with Jesus, prepare for various religious celebrations, and to integrate religion into other areas of learning.
To help the child develop positive feelings about self and to encourage successful social interactions such as helping, sharing and cooperating.
To nuture the child's curiosity and love of learning by providing developmentally appropriate materials and experiences through which the young child learns.
To guide the child in making choices and solving problems.
To enhance the child's physical development of both large and small muscle coordination.
To provide opportunities for aesthetic expression and appreciation through art, music and literature.
