Jon was born and raised in central Illinois where his dad pastored a church. He was there until the age of 16 when his family movied to Mesa, AZ. Jon finished high school and joined a few bands as the lead singer and rythmn guitarist. He went to Anderson University in Indiana for a year, before heading back to Arizona to pursue music. It was during this period that he felt called to pursue music and worship ministry as a careet. In 2001, Jon met his wife, Michelle, and they married on January 1, 2002 in Chandler, Arizona.
Jon has been leading worship both in paid and volunteer roles, for over twelve years. Whether it's camps, conferences, shows or the local church, he loves helping people connect with Jesus through music. Whether it's singing to thousands of people or at a small intimate venue, Jon has an incredible gift for leading people into the presence of the Lord. He allows himself to get out of the way and let the Lord be glorified.
Jon's love for music is evident and shows in his original music. He is able to write music that connects to the listener and sends a message of hope. He is hoping to release a new EP this year.
Jon and his wife Michelle currently reside in Cedar Falls, Iowa where Jon is the Worship Director at Prairie Lakes Church, a progressive church community of close to 3,000 people.
