ABOUT
Funny, curious and and full of random facts. Those are the three things that people tend to say about me when I tell them to say those three things. I've spent my short life trying to gain as much knowledge about the world as possible and every question answered simply generates more questions. Despite this, I am determined never to stop asking. Good writing is its own reward, but I am happiest when I am satisfied with the nature of work I am doing, and when I feel at home at the organization I am working with. While interning at Mr. Youth in New York, I had the privledge to work with them on the client pitch to Coca-Cola. The pitch was successful and one of my customer activation ideas was pitched directly to the client as a part of the winning presentation:

Again while interning at Mr. Youth I was assigned to write a script for an infographic video to be released promoting our companies internal research "white paper" that was to be released to the public. In the end, elements from various scrips submitted by several writers- including myself- were put together to make the final script. Below is my original script, next to it is the final video.

One of my first projects at Mr Youth was for Mr Youth's proprietary Repnation web site, which offers top-tier brands a way to manage and find product ambassadors on college campuses. I was tasked with composing copy for an email to be sent to students on behalf of Barnes & Noble College.

StangPlanet
In 2008 and 2009 I worked as a writer for the Ford Mustang enthusiast site StangPlanet.com. The site died seveal years after my departure. The following is a post from December, 2008:Gasoline is quickly becoming the nerdy kid from high school. You know, the kid who everyone hated, but reluctantly came to for help with their math homework.Global warming, dwindling supplies, and astronomically- and I say artificially- high prices are all driving the world away from petroleum as a fuel. Yet, just as we continued to need math help in high school, we still need all those dead dinosaurs to get our Mustangs going fast enough to get a ticket. While their decision making certainly has not been brilliant over the past few years, the auto companies have not sat idly by as the world demands that we move on from gasoline. The first stepping stone to kicking the habit is to take it gradually. Thus, we get the hybrid: half gas, half electric. We all know the familiar names to the hybrid game: Prius, Insight, Volt (yes, the Volt is a hybrid) etc. But what about something a bit different than a hybrid economy car? What if there were hybrid sports cars? Well, those already exist. They are hybrid super-cars, and they are in the "if you have to ask the price, you cannot afford it" category. But then, that's true of all super-cars.The logical next step from the super-car is probably the basic sports car. Let's forget about that, though, and move to what we're all about here at StangPlanet: the pony car. It isn't too much to expect that in the foreseeable future, Ford will release a hybrid Mustang, and the possibilities are endless. What do you think? Would you want V6 power with four-cylinder fuel economy or would you want the power of a V8 coming from a V6 with some batteries helping out? Would you be caught dead in an "eco-green" colored Mustang with big hybrid badges on it, or would you proudly street race in a car with a lower carbon footprint than the competition? The rest of my articles can be found at: http://stangplanet.com/forum/pony-press/(any article by Jon Igielnik)
