John started playing classical guitar at the age of 15, and while he had a few lessons early on he is basically self taught.
John's first major influence came from seeing Rush at Ingliston in the early 80's where "Alex lifeson's" chordal work and early solo's where his main source of inspiration.
"Gary Moore" and "Randy Rhoads" took over soon after and in the early 90's guitar supremos "Joe Satriani" and the enigmatic "Yngwie Malmsteen" advanced John's modal study and attititude towards Guitar Discipline.
John has played and recorded with many bands and can be seen (with a bit more hair that is) playing live with West Lothian Rockers "Reign".
At present John is studying hard towards his Performance and Teaching Diploma's.
John has two sons Curtis (17) and Alexander (12) and a ragdoll cat "Nico".
The stunning "Rock Chick" is John's girlfreind "Marie" whom he has been with for 5 years.
