NSR BBYO # 19
Welcome
Dear Parents,
This year BBYO is off to a wonderful start, chapters are starting to meet and plan events around the holidays. This past weekend 120 teen leaders attended our Regional Leadership Training. The teens received valuable information and developed skills that will aid them in all aspects of life not just BBYO.
Our Regional Presidents attend August executive meeting last month, at that conference our international focus for the year was announced. We are proud to tell you that our teens have chosen to STAND UP FOR KIDS ON LONG ISLAND. KIDS FOR KIDS WILL BE THE FOCUS FOR THIS YEARS STAND UP CAMPAIGN. Chapters will spend many hours programming community service and social action activities organized around this theme.
October will be a big month for Nassau Suffolk Region.
.October 11th - Regional Kick Off event at United Skates of America, Seaford from 7-9. Please encourage your teen to attend and bring any Jewish friends.
.October 12th- Columbus day will be our first Teen Connection event of the year. Our teen connection kids (6th and 7th grades) will be bowling at Commack Lanes 1-3 pm, if you know anyone that might be interested in attending please email me their contact information.
