I am mom to 2 boys I am crazy about and a knitwear designer. The drawing is one I did of my little son napping five years ago (heavy sigh). He had pj's that said "If they only stayed little a little longer". So true, so true.
I recently had a mini-breakthrough: Ripping back doesn't have to be traumatic or a dealbreaker. I have literally boxes of projects that have collected dust on shelves for years, all for what amounts to an afternoon or two of reknitting. What a waste!
This lead to another mini-epiphany: Why not take a shot at doing what I really love? I started drawing sweater designs twenty years ago, only to shoot myself down. Its so much fun! I have to at least try.
For me, knitting lends itself to calmness, peace-of-mind and naturally, daydreaming.
