In the second half, we scored on a free kick by Guy Valentin and then Luis Sanchez converted from close range a low cross from the right. Atletico Nacional tied for the final 2-2 score 10 minutes before the end of the game.
Positive debut for new signings Seth Yawn and Erick Garcia
report 18 Goals by Sanchez, Baez
A disaster. 0 - 3 at half time. Missing a lot of key players and with try outs that did not work out.
Luis Sanchez gave us the illusion of re-opening the contest, then they scored a 4th goal. Michael Baez scored then we put them under a lot of pressure and finally allowed one last goal : 2-5 final score, We will have a re-match with a full squad. some time in the fall
report 19 Goals by Alejandro Aguirre, Solomon (3), Garcia, Pierre, Chevannes

Positive debut for new signing Changa Harris. First goal for Erick Garcia. Nice hat-trick by Andrew Solomon, who re-joined the team today after missing the enitre last season due to a broken leg. Kyle McDaniel watched the game from the sideline with a broken foot. He will be back in 6-8 weeks.

Great way to start the season.Game won with authority. We should have scored more goals. We scored 2 goals in the first 10 minutes with 2 of our new signings .Luis Sanchez stole the ball from a defender and served Changa Harris a ball just inside the box. He calmly placed the ball on the far post away from the goalie. Javier Coello served Erick Garcia a nice through long pass. Erick dribbled a defender and then scored with a nice diagonal shot that hit the inside of the post and went in. After that, Hernandez earned a penalty but Baker hit the post. Inter Park only had a couple of chances in the 90 minutes but they were saved by our goal keeper.

Erick Garcia
First official game with us, Youngest player on the roster (18). He showed personality, skills and will to sacrifice. Scored a goal on his debut, then he almost scored a second one when he hit the inside of the bar.

Another 2-0 victory today, with a lot of similarities to last week's game. The half time result, the team personality, the quality of possession. Opening goal by Changa Harris (his second with us in 2 games). Just like last week, he controlled in the middle of the box and then placed the ball in the far post with a precise shot. Munich 74 had a great chance before that with a shot deflected on the bar by our keeper that bounced on the line and away from the goal. 2nd goal was a great individual effort by A J Barrett. He dribbled the goalkeeper outside of the box and then buried in the empty net from a difficult angle. Both goal scorers had other chances that went just wide. In the second half, we controlled the game and kept the 3 points We are in 2nd place, at 6 points with Orlando Storm. Great performace by Valentin and Suffrin against their ex team.
MVP
Seth Yawn
It's not by coincidence that since he joined the team we are yet to concede a goal. His timing and defensive skills and his contribution in possession phase were outstanding today.

A very close match that could have went either way but the fair result should have been a draw. We missed a couple of very good chances and controlled the game well. We just did not keep our composure when we had possession. Their goal came 20 minutes into the second half from a direct free kick just outside the box. Our wall did not form quick enough and they took advantage of it. We have a chance to still compete for the top 2 positions next week against Ragamuffins.

Franz Chevannes
Quality and quantity. He did an excellent job today. Won many balls and solved a lot of problem situations in the midfiled.

We were defending well and playing counter attack for most of the first half. Altough we did not create much, the game was played mostly in the middle of the field. Then we mismanaged possession in our box and gave up a ball in our defense line, they took advantage of the situation, got the lead right before half time and our minds were no longer in the game. They scored a nice goal in the second half and then sealed the victory on another give away from our defense (failure to clear the ball). A J Barrett scored on a free kick witth a powerful for the final score 1-3.

A victory after 2 defeats. We did not play well today but it was important to get 3 points for the 3rd position.
Erick Garcia won a ball on the right side and scored solo with a diagonal shot. Spartans tied the game after they missed 2 clear chances. In the sedond half both teams missed a lot of chances. The other team was reduced to 10 men at half time due to an injury and no subs on the bench. Changa Harris scored the winning goal towards the end by tapping in a rebound off the bar. Coello crossed, Barrett headed the ball on the bar and Harris was the quickest on the ball. Debut today for 2 new additions to the squad: Simon Enright (back to team after a year due to a broken ankle) and Tomasz Wilczak.

Finally a comfortable win. We outplayed the other team in every area of the field and had a lot of chances to score. Our first goal came from a cross by Coello not held by their keeper, with Hernandez quick to react and score with a diving header. 2nd goal came in the 2nd half with a corner kick from Sanchez that Yawn deflected in from the goalie box. Sanchez scored himself when he was in the right spot on a low cross from the right. Before the game was over we had a few more clear chances and we scored one last goal with Gavin Petit heading in a corner kick by Luis Sanchez. With 3 games left in the league, we are in 3rd place, thanks to 4 victories out of 6 games and the 2nd best defense (3 clean sheets so far).

We struggled initially to score the first goal until Luis Sanchez found the back of the net with a wonderful strike from 30 yards. A few minutes later Alex Aguirre doubled the advantage on a great through pass from Coello. 2-0 at half time. On a corner kick, Rayon "Sheldon" Baker killed the contest with a header on the first post deflected in by a defender. Our team dominated the game and towards the end our better physical condiition showed and paid off with 2 more goals. Javier Coello stole a ball and served Baker, who dribbled the keeper and scored in a empty net. A penalty was awarded after that due to a handball in the box. De Vivo took the shot but it was saved. Changa Harris scored from the following corner kick with a header :5-0. 3rd consecutive victory. 2nd consecutive clean sheet (4 times in 7 games) We are in 3rd position. Best defense so far : 5 goals in 7 games.
