On behalf of the Scientific Committee I am very honored to welcome you to the International Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Workshop, Prague 2010.
Following International Neurosurgical Winter Congresses in Torino 2005, Zermatt 2007, Salt Lake City 2009 and summer Workshop in Roma 2008 we have another outstanding opportunity to share our current opinions and our endeavor for international neurosurgical friendship.
The promoter of this Workshop is Prof. Takanori Fukushima, the Czech Skull Base Study Group and the Czech Neurosurgical Society.
The Satellite Skull Base Microanatomy Hans-on Dissection Course (June 15-16, 2010) has the patronage of the WFNS Skull Base Surgery Committee.
I would like to invite you to ancient and magic Prague for an intensive meeting and sharp informal discussion about
the new concepts and challenges in cerebrovascular and skull base surgery. This workshop should open new horizons and experience for prestigious guest, but also for our young colleagues, so please bring your talented residents to this workshop.
We have prepared an exciting social program for you - the River Boat Trip with a dixieland band and Prague Castle Gala Dinner with Czech historical dance and music.

Cerebrovascular and skull base surgery have been of major interest in clinical neurosurgery. A special International neurovascular and skull base workshop has been organized in Prague, Czech Republic for the period of June 16-18, 2010 by expert neurosurgeons in the Czech Republic and International faculty.
On behalf of the organizing committee of this workshop and as one of the International faculty, I wish to extend our cordial invitation to neurosurgeons around the world that have interest in cerebrovascular and skull base microsurgery to participate in this special event. The workshop will feature lectures and video demonstrations by many experts from all over the world. The workshop has a preceding hands-on dissection course. The meeting has been planned in the most beautiful European classical city of Prague. There are abundant social programs such as a boat dinner cruise and gala dinner at the Prague castle.
We will promote exchange of clinical microneurosurgical knowledge, techniques and clinical experience with each other to learn more contemporary and advanced techniques for the benefit of our patients. I am going to bring Fukushimas original Dr Jazz Band and we will play several times in Prague.
I wish to encourage my colleague neurosurgeons to come and participate at this special Prague workshop so we can make scientific progress and have advanced and contemporary neurovascular techniques and knowledge as well as promote our international friendship.

ABSTRACT
Abstract of lectures will be accepted only electronically by ON-LINE application for active participation. Abstract in other form will not be accepted.
Will only be accepted single format abstract: Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Conclusion. Language - English.
The size of the abstract is limited to 3,500 characters. Without the pictures, tables,
or literature.
Subject to acceptance of the paper is logged abstract. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to move into the lecture poster section.
Duration of lecture 8min + 2 min discussion
Deadline for active contributions was shifted to 15th March 2010.
Active form of presentation of lectures
A data projector will be available for the active presentation.
Lectures will be presented from a PC, it is necessary to submit to a CD, DVD or USB flash drive (the use your own computer for the projection is not possible).

Why get involved?
International workshop in Prague will welcome the world of specialized experts and prestigious guests from the field of cerebrovascular neurosurgery and surgery skull base. Scheduled lectures are called, state of the art communication, video section, posters, and discussion panels of specialists from all continents. Promoter of this event is one of the most gifted neurosurgeon and teacher of microneurosurgery prof. Takanori Fukushima. Prague workshop in 2010 was preceded by workshops like format Torino 2005, Zermatt 2007, Salt Lake City 2009 and Roma in 2008. Workshop is organized under the auspices of International Neurosurgical Education and Research Foundation. Satellite Skull Base Microanatomy and Hands-on Dissection Workshop is support by WFNS (World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies). International workshop is associated with working days surgery skull base which is organized every two years, the Czech Skull Base Study Group.
Location
The workshop will be held in Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, called City of Hundred Towers. Prague is a very popular tourist destination. The Marriott Hotel, located in the historical center of the city, just few steps from the Old Town Square and other tourist attractions and monuments was selected as a venue for this workshop. The whole scientific program, including the exhibition space and accommodation of delegates will take place in the Marriott Hotel.
