Energy.gov is a website that was created by the United States Department of Energy. This website was the most comprehensive resources that we used for our project. The site contains a wealth of information regarding energy saving tips, facts and reports about the environment, and consumption statistics. We used this website to gain a better understanding of consumer energy consumption. Indiana.gov/oed offered useful information about programs offered by the government that provide education to professionals and homeowners about energy efficient lighting, water treatment efficiency, and manufacturing plant energy efficiency. The programs helped us realize what we would like to incorporate in a program for Service Concept LLC residential customers. Wickedlocal is an important resource because the programs that are offered in Massachusetts are very similar to the seminar that we are suggesting for Service Concepts LLC. An environmental expert is hosting a series of free workshops in many communities that is called Ultimate Green Home and Lawn Tips. The workshops are held at the town hall. The expert offers simple steps to “green your home” and save on home heating, cooling and energy bills. This resource serves as evidence that energy consumption seminars are successful and they are easy to implement once companies have the proper tools.
