We held focus groups and surveyed different age groups to discuss our marketing plan for Service Concept LLC to host monthly seminars. The subjects were grouped by ages 20-30, 40-50, and 70-80. The 24 people we met with served as the most beneficial resource for our project.
95% of interviewees ages 70-80 said they would attend an energy saving seminar Approximately 75% of ages 40-50 preferred having the option to research the information online All subjects spoke highly of the seminar, but differed in terms of the distribution of the seminar. They agreed with our plans for advertisements, specifically those in the billing statements
The interviewees suggested that the best ways to improve energy consumption in the home is by changing to energy efficient light bulbs, lowering the thermostat, adding energy star applicances, replacing hot water heaters and furnaces, and adding quality grade insulation.
