It is inevitable: The numerical value never decreases. It continues to rise even without a monumental celebration where cake and wrapped presents await us. Age is life's reminder to set new goals, expectations, and even limitations.
Yet as we grow older, we can become young. It is our nonage, our youth, when most memories are made and forever remembered. It serves as our anti-age serum, encompassing imagination, curiosity, adventure, and spontaneity.
It is never too late to tell a story from our nonage and relive it.
Nonage is a collection of people and their childhood memories. All 76 participants are friends and family of JJ Casas who photographed the portraits that accompany each story. The idea is simple: everyone has a memorable childhood memory and this is the chance to share it to all.
The collection is introduced by Catherine Abalos, a former classmate of JJ Casas at St. Ignatius College Preparatory.
For every purchase of Nonage, $5 will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital so that kids may grow up healthy and have their own childhood memories.
