Principal, Jay York grew up near Yosemite and earned degrees in both journalism and photography. His career spans over 20 years in various facets of communications: journalism; photo journalism; publications (paper and digital); and audio, motion picture, multi-media, and video production. He was a founding member as well as the designer of, web architect and WebMaster for Nevada County Community Network. Jay has also worked in public relations, marketing, the travel industry, tecnical publishing, and user interface design.
For the past five years Jay's focus has returned to his first love: photography and media production. He has traveled to 40 countries and territories to photograph and record events, people, and places. He has covered a variety of sports events and participants, cultural subjects, and humanitarian/missionary activities using film, digital image & audio acquisition equipment; audio & image editing, media production, presentation, and asset management software.
